Leading the design and delivery of a physical stand for an international exhibition.
problem
The client wanted to outsource the creation of a branded stand for their presence at an international exhibition.
The company wanted to exhibit in Amsterdam with a stand that reflected its image and commercial goals. However, the project involved multiple stakeholders spread across different countries, strict logistical constraints imposed by the show, and tight deadlines.
approach
I structured the project around understanding of the need and rigorous orchestration of the stakeholders.
I first worked closely with the client to clarify their expectations: the message to convey, the visitor experience, and the budget and technical constraints. On that basis, I led the stand's design with a graphic designer — including all the visuals and a 3D mock-up — so the client could picture it and sign off on the concept before production began. In parallel, I sourced and selected a stand builder in Poland, then coordinated manufacturing and delivery. I also managed the relationship with the show's organiser in Amsterdam for the stand rental, its location, technical installations (lighting), and additional services such as catering.
solution
Delivering a finished stand, ready to welcome visitors on the day of the show.
The final result combined a custom design, a build that met the show's constraints, and fully managed logistics. I acted as the single point of contact between the client and all the suppliers, ensuring smooth communication despite the language differences across the stakeholders.
impact
The project was delivered on time and without friction for the client.
The client could focus on their commercial and relationship goals during the show, without having to handle the operational complexity. The 3D visualisation built confidence in the deliverable up front, and the client's presence at the show came across as professional and consistent with their brand image.
